Our Story

Gyro Gyro Atlanta, a Dunwoody spot proudly preparing the age-old pita sandwich assembled with top-notch meats, quality pita, and a dollop of our secret homemade stuff simply known as “The Sauce,” a puréed version of tzatziki, think of it as a garlic ranch. And yes, we do make a traditional-style tzatziki which is thick, chunky, and super garlicky. Our traditional tzatziki will give you fiery garlic breath to remember us.

Our chef started playing around in his Greek family’s kitchen as a kid, and it’s certainly paid off. While our beef and lamb gyros are what we are named after, Gyro Gyro’s other offerings like the Mahi-Mahi wrap, a fish taco pita wrap, is a fresh take on the age-old classic—and has already netted quite a following. It’s not the only clever riff on the traditional street foods either. We also have a Philly wrap, Southern fried chicken wrap, even a pita full of barbecued chicken and a dozen other tasty ideas. Always check our specials board and social media for daily treats. But for gyro purists, the traditional beef and lamb gyro wrap will definitely surpass your expectations.

We only use the highest quality proteins (definitely a notch above what you’ll find in most other gyro shops), and cut no corners when it comes to freshness and quality. In other words, you can tuck in to that big, warm, juicy lambzilla of a gyro knowing full well that it’s made with the freshest fixings. For maximum results, add a side of Chef's homemade spanakopita, a savory pastry with spinach and feta, followed swiftly by sweet, sticky baklava for dessert. Lastly, while we do not serve alcohol, we do have a BYOB policy. For a small fee, it’s easy to chow down on that heaping plate of Greek goodness with a cold one at your side (best enjoyed out on Gyro Gyro’s sunny patio). Oh, and good news for hungry gyro-hounds: let’s just say Gyro Gyro doesn’t skimp on portion size. Try to save room for that baklava!
